Patrol Boy
Patrol Boy by Jason Spencer-Edwards is about a boy named Andrew and his family. They are sort of less fortunate than others. In Andrews school he gets bullied by "bad boys". His family takes care of him and his sibilings really well. The only thing is, that they are not as fortunate as their friends are. This book refers to the tv show "Everybody hates Chris"

Andrew and his family live in a not so healthy neighborhood. They are a nice family, but their neighbors aren't. At Andrews school he has people who doesnt like him. They beat him up for no reson at all. One day, Andrews mother told him to go pay the light bill afterschool. When Andrew got home he forgot, so he had to run before they closed. While he was running he bumped into the "bad boys". They saw Andrew and began to walk towards him. Andrew looked worried because he didnt know what was going to happen. Next thing you knew, "bad boys" was on top of Andrew beating him up. After a while, a guy named Big L came to break the fight up. All the boys ran and Andrew stayed. Big L introduced himself, and they were both friendly. I remember Andrew making it to pay the bill, but he was just in time before they closed. The next day Andrew went to school, he saw the "bad boys". They didn't bother to mess with him because of what happened the day before. Ever since then, Big L became him back up for a while.

In Conclusion, Andrew still lived a tough life. The "bad boys" made sure he lived a miserable life in school. This refers to "Everybody hates Chris" because Chris would live the same life. People in his school would bully him and his family was less fortunate than others. Overall, Andrew loved his family and he appreciated his life.
